You caught the shot: the crossover, the buzzer-beater, the dunk that had the whole gym on its feet. Then you open it on your laptop, and the magic is gone: sickly orange skin tones from the overhead lights, blown-out jerseys under the spotlights, and motion that just reads as “blurry” instead of “fast.”
Indoor courts are one of the toughest lighting environments in sports photography: mixed color temperatures, reflective wood floors, and gyms with lighting rigs that haven’t been updated since the 90s. Generic Lightroom presets built for weddings or landscapes aren’t built to fix any of that. This bundle includes 50+ basketball-specific Lightroom presets, built for the exact lighting problems you run into on NBA hardwood, in high school gyms, at AAU tournaments, and on outdoor blacktops.
Almost every basketball photo has the same three problems: mixed color temperatures from overhead lighting, blown highlights on jerseys and skin under the spotlights, and motion blur that looks noisy rather than intentional. Each preset in this bundle is built to solve those three issues first, then layer its creative look on top, so the correction and the style happen in a single click.
For example, the NBA Arena preset lifts exposure by +0.3 to brighten the scene without overcooking it, pulls highlights down by -15 to tame harsh light spots, and adds +25 contrast so players stand out against a blurred crowd. The Outdoor Day preset does the opposite: it slightly trims exposure and boosts clarity because direct sun creates a completely different problem than gym lighting does. That’s the difference between a preset pack built for basketball and one that just has “basketball” in the title.
50+ Basketball Presets Bundle – Players, Teams & Sports Creators
The “Why Is Court Lighting So WEIRD?” Solution Pack.
Basketball is beautiful… until you try to edit it. Indoor courts are a photographer’s nightmare-mixed lighting, orange floors reflecting everywhere, and don’t even get me started on those old gyms with lighting from 1987.

Tristan Featherstone –
I threw one of the “Cinematic” presets on my photo, and suddenly the rain looked dramatic instead of depressing. The contrast made the players look so tough. It completely changed the story of the day from “bad weather” to “epic battle.” I’m so glad I had these in my back pocket. It rescued the memories of that weekend.

I used these while putting together a gallery for a youth basketball team. The biggest benefit was getting dozens of different photos to look like they belonged together. Players, coaches, bench shots, and game action all had a much more consistent appearance. The parents absolutely loved the finished gallery, which made me very happy.

Basketball photography means coming home with a mountain of photos, and editing each one individually can take forever. I could apply a look to an entire set and then make small adjustments where needed. The consistency between photos is what impressed me most. Honestly, it made the whole workflow feel much less stressful.

The presets gave my images a cinematic feel, especially during dunk sequences. It adds that extra wow factor. I noticed how well skin tones are handled, especially during close-up action shots. Nothing looks overly edited.

Cameron Rothstein –
These handle the shadows and highlights intelligently. In my basketball shots, the dark areas of the stands don’t turn completely black. No more blown-out ice or muddy faces.

Hazel Hopkins –
I love that gritty, late-90s sports illustrated feel. These presets have that one look that adds enough grain and matte texture without destroying the sharpness of the action. Perfect for portraits of the players after the game.
